Andrew organised a book launch for the fans in London on 9th May 2010, ahead of the release of Stephen's debut novel 'The Tree Of Seasons'. Extracts were read from the book by Andrew, Phyllis 'The Butcher', Pat 'The Baker' and Trevor Jary, and there was also the opportunity to buy a copy of the book before its official release date. Boyzone were announced as Entertainers of the Year at the Stonewall Awards, which took place at the V&A museum in London on 5th November 2009. These awards serve to honour those who have made a positive contribution to lesbian and gay equality in Britain in the past year. In a rare public appearance, Stephen's husband Andrew accepted the award on behalf of the band. In a moving speech, he paid tribute to Stephen and also slammed the press for their insensitive reporting of Stephen's death.
